Alicia Keys’ Broadway musical Hell’s Kitchen is set to launch a North American tour in Fall 2025, following its acclaimed Broadway debut earlier this year. Inspired by Keys’ life, the musical tells the story of a 17-year-old girl named Ali navigating her dreams and challenges in 1990s New York. The show combines new music and classic hits by the Grammy-winning artist, such as “Fallin’” and “If I Ain’t Got You”
Hell’s Kitchen, the Broadway musical by Alicia Keys, is based on a book by Kristoffer Diaz, a Pulitzer Prize finalist and Tony Award nominee. Diaz crafted the story, which is inspired by Keys’ own life experiences, focusing on a 17-year-old girl named Ali and her journey to find her identity, independence, and musical talent in 1990s New York City. The narrative also explores the complex dynamics between Ali and her mother
Diaz’s expertise in storytelling adds depth to the musical, blending poignant themes of family, ambition, and community with Alicia Keys’ powerful songs and vision. His work, combined with Keys’ music and the directorial touch of Michael Greif, has received critical acclaim for its authenticity and emotional resonance
The tour will kick off at Cleveland’s Playhouse Square and is planned to visit over 30 cities in its first year, with additional dates and locations to be announced. Directed by Michael Greif and choreographed by Camille A. Brown, the production retains the creative team behind the Broadway run. Tickets and detailed tour schedules are expected to be released closer to the launch
The musical has earned praise for its compelling story and vibrant music, making it a standout in recent Broadway seasons. Fans can look forward to the same high-energy performances and emotional depth as it embarks on this expansive tour.

Ali’s mother is just as determined to protect her daughter from the same mistakes she made. Brown, direction by Tony Award nominee Michael Greif, and book by Pulitzer Prize-finalist Kristoffer Diaz, HELL’S KITCHEN is an unforgettable new show loosely based on Alicia Keys’ personal experiences, featuring both newly created music and many of her soulful, iconic songs.
