Infinite Coles is stepping firmly into his own spotlight. The singer-songwriter and performer has announced the release of his highly anticipated debut album, SweetFace Killah, set to drop December 5. The project spans 12 tracks and promises to showcase Coles’ versatility, blending high-energy cuts with vulnerable, introspective ballads.
Fans have already been given a taste of the record through the singles “Dad & I” and the title track “SweetFace Killah.” Both songs dive into deeply personal territory, reflecting Coles’ complicated relationship with his father, who he has not spoken to or seen in over a decade. The video for “SweetFace Killah,” directed by his longtime collaborator Ugly Worldwide (also known as Jazelle), visually amplifies that intimacy and rawness.
While much of the project leans on Coles’ personal storytelling, SweetFace Killah also highlights his range. Tracks like “DMs” and “Shoot” carry a kinetic, club-ready energy, while songs such as “Mama Song,” “Thankful,” and “Body Strong” pause for reflection, gratitude, and resilience. Earlier singles, including “BGM” and the pulsing “Boots Ballroom C*nt Mix,” featuring Maleigh Zan and Julz, have already earned recognition within underground and ballroom scenes, cementing Coles as a rising voice across multiple genres.
For Coles, music has always been tethered to legacy. As the son of Wu-Tang Clan icon Ghostface Killah, the expectations and scrutiny, were inescapable. But while that lineage looms large, Coles has been careful to carve his own lane. His sound leans toward a blend of R&B, electronic, and ballroom influences, often embracing queerness and vulnerability in ways that set him apart from his father’s storied catalog.
“I’ve always had to balance the weight of where I come from with the need to express who I really am,” Coles shared in a recent interview. “This album is me fully stepping into that space.”
With SweetFace Killah, Infinite Coles isn’t just introducing an album, he’s presenting a statement of independence, identity, and artistry.
