Happy Thanksgiving! Many hip-hop heads woke up on 11.28.2024 to a surprise; a new mixtape from one of the best lyricists of our time, J. Cole’s “Friday Night Lights”. Now available on Spotify and Apple Music, Friday Night Lights comes as a welcome surprise as the announcement of the release was announced by J. Cole himself on Instagram; “This is a very special moment for me. Been waiting patiently for this day, like a lot of yall have.” 

J. Cole continued by thanking his fans and all of those who have kept his projects alive throughout the years. In what J. Cole is calling his best project yet, “Friday Night Lights” is a 19-track project that was originally intended for his debut album Cole World. The original released project featured the likes of Drake, Omen, Wale, and Kanye West

The flow is impeccable on “Friday Night Lights”. On such jewels as ‘Back to the Topic’, ‘Villematic’ which originally featured a raw and uncut Kanye West. On ‘You Got It’ Wale stops through and spits a smash verse and Drake goes ham on ‘In the Morning’. 

Released in 2010 on Datpiff, it is with great pleasure to announce “Friday Night Lights” is available via DSP’s worldwide. Tell us what you think?
