North West, the 11-year-old daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, has made her mark on FKA Twigs‘ newest album, Eusexua. North features on the album’s shortest track, Childlike Things, where she raps a few lines in Japanese. The track, true to its title, celebrates themes of childlike wonder, imagination, and “supersonic powers,” blending Twigs’ ethereal style with North’s playful contribution.
North’s verse, which centers on praising Jesus Christ, comes over a house-inspired beat produced by Koreless and Ojivolta. Her lines flow seamlessly into the song’s outro, tying back to the recurring theme of boundless imagination. Released on January 24, Eusexua continues FKA Twigs’ signature fusion of ethereal pop, electronic rhythms, and experimental soundscapes.
This collaboration marks North West’s first foray into music outside of her work with her father. Last year, she teamed up with Kanye on Vultures 1 for the song Talking and later appeared alongside him and her younger sister, Chicago West, on Vultures 2.
Kim Kardashian showed her pride in her daughter’s latest achievement, promoting the track on Instagram with the caption, “@fkatwigs ft NORTH out now!” North is also credited as a writer on Childlike Things.
FKA Twigs’ collaboration with North isn’t her first connection to Kanye West; she previously worked with him and Skrillex on Ty Dolla $ign’s Ego Death in 2020. Meanwhile, Kanye has been actively nurturing North’s musical talents, sharing videos of her rapping and expressing his admiration. In one post, he wrote, “This little girl made me love music again,” alongside a photo of North at a keyboard.
The release of Eusexua and North’s appearance on Childlike Things highlights a budding music career for the young star, showing her potential as a rising talent in the industry.
