If anyone still doubted Vybz Kartel’s reign as the undisputed king of dancehall, Saturday night silenced it for good. In front of a packed house at Broadway Hall, Atlantic City, Vybz Kartel delivered what many have called his most prolific performance yes, serving high energy, presentation, and amazing Jamaican vibes. The night was an electric experience that reminded the world that the Worl’ Boss doesn’t just command respect — he demands it.
Wearing a jeweled “New Jersey #5” basketball jersey, ice-laced chains, and denim dripping in rhinestones, the dancehall King embodied the larger-than-life persona he has become known for. As his voice rang through the speakers, what followed was a blistering, high-octane, lyrics-first set that spanned over 70 of songs.

Vybe Kartel moved seamlessly from raw anthems like “Love Dem” and “Gallis Anthem” to global smash hits like “Fever,” “Summertime,” “Clarks,” and “Freaky Gyal.” The setlist, freshly rearranged, balanced fan favorites, deep cuts, and a few unreleased teasers, all stitched together with pristine transitions and relentless energy.
With a set list that lasted for more than an hour, Vybz Kartel exuberated peak endurance as he kept the crowd on inferno throughout. The night’s electricity continued to soar when dancehall diva Ishawna appeared on stage, strutting in tandem with Kartel’s projected image. Her fiery two-song set served as a primer for what became the night’s biggest explosion — the entrance of Spice, The Queen of Dancehall.
Wearing a royal blue, crystal-studded bodysuit with matching cobalt blue hair, Spice turned Broadway Hall into a kingdom of bass and brilliance. Together, she and Kartel performed their Billboard-charting hit “Ramping Shop,” sparking deafening screams and mass singalongs.
Not long after, Blak Ryno, the former Portmore Empire star took the mic, reigniting the crowd with his signature melodic aggression. Ryno’s verse dropped like a hammer, drawing one of the loudest reactions of the night and reminding everyone why his name still holds weight in the genre.
Overall, the Vybe Kartel & Friends show was a 10/10!! We can’t wait for him to return stateside in Baltimore, Maryland July, 26, 2025
